After you are 21 marajana doesn't affect you very much. People say that smoking weed is worst then smoking cigarretes but ciggaretes people smoke a pack a day and weed you barely smoke. Also weed isn't addicting. People say its mentally addicting ( anything can be mentally addicting )

Actually, yes I do. I took a class on drugs and drug dependency years ago, and I was really stunned at how many problems are caused by alcohol, yet it's legal. It can't be just a health issue, or cigarettes would be illegal, too. It's all politics.....

The problem with legalizing marijuana is the cost that it would add to regulate it. In addition, what do we do with the hidden costs (lost wages, traffic crashes, etc.) I believe that you could never make smoking cigarettes illegal, because it has already been legal. Prohibition did not work because alcohol had already been used and the distribution of it could not be controlled. Marijuana does kill and injure others just as cocaine and other drugs. The real questions should be, Why do we need to legalize marijuana? Why are we using the stuff?

If it were legal for 21 year olds, it would be more available for the 15 year olds. As for Xbox and Cheetos...people play much better when they are not under the influence of a controlled substance. BTW marijuana does contain cancer producing substances.

NO! People have a hard enough time with alcohol! I do support the medical use of marijuana(that is with a legit Doctor excuse). There are enough addictions out there, we don't need to legalize any more!
You cannot convince me that weed does not effect you after 21. I have known potheads way older than 21! I will even go as far to say that, because of the damage to their braincells, they have not progressed in mental maturity!
So my question to you is:" How long have you been toking"? You sound like a long time supporter. Or are you a "prospective" looking for a good excuse?

There are two problems with legalizing Mary Jane.

First, it's the poster child for America's War on Drugs. You and all your stoner friends need help and Uncle Sam will be there to provide it. If they admit that MJ has less adverse effects than alcohol and tobacco then they would have it admit that they were lying to the people for over 60 years.

Second is collecting taxes. How do you tax something that grows wild in all 50 states.

What do you suppose we do? Open bars without the liquir and just serve "weed on a stick"?? I meen, we'll be having SLOOOOW drivers and everything. You can't get contact drunk. But you can get contact high. It would have to only be in the privacy of ones home. Then you would still have lots of problems with that. Including the smell!! I can't say I've never or will never again. But face it. It's illegal and that's just that. We're not Mexico...

Fighting a war on pot is pointless. It grows out of the ground. I think the goverment would benefit more by legalizing it and taxing it. It's really not that dangerous either. I've never really heard of anyone going crazy beating the hell out someone because of pot. Maybe guilty of wasting to much time in front of an XBOX and eating to many cheetos though.

Why not let the losers ruin their lives from the get go.

Think of the ads.

Want a baby that never cries (or learns to walk, talk, or read) buy Bubba's Infant formula with dope! Specially developed to be easier on the brain cells than adult pot.

Yes. And acid, valium, and all the phenol barbiturates too. None of that stuff affects you after you turn 21.

Apparently if it doesn't affect you after 21, you must have done it prior to 21 to ask such a question. That is really stupid...
