No. You can do a "rinse hold" to keep the dishes rinsed until you can get to the store.
Normal dishwashing liquid will foam all over the place.

I've used dish liquid a few times. I finally figured out not to use any more than a drip about the size of a dime. Otherwise you will have a bubble bath going on in your kitchen floor. You can also rinse the dishes really good then put then in the dishwasher and pour 1/2 CUP OF BLEACH IN THE BOTTOM OF THE DISHWASHER. iT CLEANS THE DISHES REALLY GOOD!

I would hand wash them with regular dish detergent. Whatever you do, do NOT put regular dish detergent in your dishwasher unless you want bubbles all in your kitchen floor.

I used to put in dish-washing soap and let the thing foam up all over the floor. Then when it was done, I'd mop up the suds and the floor would sparkle! If you need to cut the suds down after it washes, add 1/4 cup of bleach. It'll break up the bubbles and sterilize your dishes.
Good luck!

Sorry, but no. If you try to use regular dish soap, you are going to end up with one hell of a mess. You would be better off just doing it the old fashion way, and washing them by hand.

Yes, you can use liquid dishwashing soap. Only use a very small amount. DO NOT fill it all the way in the dishwasher
