All the shots i have seen of gears of war, have a huge guy in power armour blasting away with a hand cannon with a chain saw bayonet.

Anyone familiar with the world of Warhammer 40,000 or 4TK as it is sometimes known, should recognise the description as fairly close to that of a space marine (possibly veteran sergeant ).

Is this a sneaky way to avoid being hit with a copywrite suit?

When I first saw that video game TV commercial, I thought (along with the Warhammer Online game coming out) that they also put out a 40k version of it and I was seeing the trailer.

Yes, the main player in the trailer appears to be wearing a Space Marine power armor suit. The gun, appears to be a Bolter with a Chainsaw stuck on the end (which if memory serves me right, haven't played 40k in at least 5 years) is a 40k weapon of the Marines.

The moment I found out it wasn't a 40k game, is when the Gears of War logo came up...... I was pretty disappointed to say the least. It was too much like 40k for my liking to not be 40k.... ya know?
