is it true that nose piercing holes never close even after you take out the ring?

When I was a little boy on a farm the only living creatures that had nose rings were oxen and pigs. That should tell you something.

That is very untrue. A piercing in the nose will close up very fast even if you have had your ring or stud in for quite some time. Although there are exceptions for some people. I don't understand why people are so negative about nose piercings, I find them very attractive on most people.

Hahaha no thats not true. I have a nose piercing (not a ring, stud) and when it falls up the hole is almost closed within a day. Each time its fallen out, ive had to get it repierced because my jewelry wouldnt go back through.

They do close, if you leave them like that for a long time, but it may take years. Plus, there is always a scar left to indicate where the nose was pierced that can look bad.

Nah, they'll heal up pretty fast.

If you're thinking of letting it heal over for good, and had it done with a gun, then it will close up eventually but it could have caused quite a bit of tissue scarring, which could leave a messy mark.

If you've had it done with a needle, then it'll close up and look like nothing more than a slightly large pore.

But they do heal up. The healing time depends all on how long you've had it in for, your body's healing rate and how much trauma you've caused to the initial piercing.

Edit : And in support for nose piercings, on some people they actually look pretty hot.

Ive had to have mine pierced 3 times cause it kept closing up, but i have seen people who have had them for years and teh hole never closed up. Mine always gets irritated when I have to take it out.. which I hate doing. I try not to leave it out for more than a couple hours tops.

Like with ear piercings, it probably depends on how long you've had the piercing. If you've had it long enough it won't close.
