No they are really lesbian lovers. Though I think they broke up last year or something.

It was all a stunt thought up by their producer...
t.A.T.u., is a Russian pop music duo consisting of Elena Katina, and Yulia Volkova. The group was formed in 1999 by their former producer, Ivan Shapovalov in Moscow. The group in their early years are most known for being marketed as a lesbian couple around the world. In December 2003, they admitted on Russian television that it was only a marketing strategy, and in 2004 they fired their producer.

Actually the singers from t.a.t.u. are not lesbians, they just pretended to be so they had more publicity. Now they are searching for a new name as the les thing has been left behind.

T.A.T.U is really a les duet. It's not a publicity stunt, and I can't see why they would do a stunt like that.

they just sing together .. the lesbian thing was for publicity ... it have been quit long that i don't hear nothing about them ..
