if they would stop that nonsence in Iraq, they could tripple every welfare recipients allowance, and still have plenty money left over to feed the homeless, but os course to do so would be un american.

Yes...and once the 110th Congress is sworn in in January, then you'll start to see legislature that is actually for the people. This current administration has gotten away with so much for so long, but pay attention to Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi's plan once the new Congress takes office. Some key points are the minimum wage, social security, health care, Iraq and so on.
Things are about to start getting better, my friend. We just have to wait until January to see them.
Be patient.

I agree. We plead, the gov't bigwigs do as they please.
P. J. (Patrick Jake) O'Rourke wrote: "Wherever there's injustice, oppression, and suffering, America will show up six months late and bomb the country next to where it's happening." Ain't it the truth!

As for correct spelling, the problem probably lies with the school and teacher. My son wrote an essay (in the 70s) and about half of the words were misspelled..... when I asked him about it, he said "Oh, they don't care as long as they know what the word is supposed to be." Sure enough, he got a good grade on it. Unbelieveable.

We, as a society, have a responsibility to take care of those less fortunate than ourselves. Ronald Reagan's 'trickle down' theory proved nothing except that the rich kept most of the money, and very little 'trickled down' to the rest of society. Our culture is one of consumerism, materialism, greed, and selfishness. Funny how when we die, we all want to be recognized for our philanthropy; but most of us live our lives focusing on our own philandering. -RKO-

if the govt cant take care of themselves how do you expect them to take care of you? The idea is to stop the confiscatory taxes..end the welfare transfer payment programs...return more of your legitmately earned money and allow you to function for yourself...its called CONSERVATISM...and may people mistook hatred of the war for hatred of this system..Ronald Reagan proved it worked just fine.
