Sweden, with out a doubt!
It's incredible nature, people and culture makes it one of most amazing countries of Europe.
The north part of Sweden has a lot of mountains, lakes, rivers, and beautifule landscape. It's worth seeing it.
The south part is almost the opposite of the north, very little mountains or even hills. I'd recomend seeing the capital of course, Stockholm. It's very metropolitan and modern city but with also an famous old neighbourhood, where you can find nice restaurants, museums, and other cultural events. The city has a lot of hot clubs for those who like to spend the night partying.
The west cost is mainly known for it's seafood, delicious!
There's also a lot of places that has had a big impact on swedish and scandinavian history, dont forget that Sweden once rules over Norway, Denmark, and Finland. Places like Birka, where the Vikings lived, Medelpad, where there's Neandertal paintings.
Last but not least, the swedish people are very well behaved, educated, friendly and most willing to help people out.
I've been to Sweden once, but I'd love to go there again.

Well, I liven in Finland, so I'm a bit biased...
All our neighbour countries are great, but unless you are very wealthly I'd stay clear from Norway, as it is very expensive there.
So that leaves Finland, Sweden and Denmark. The nature, scenery and people are pretty much the same in Sweden and in Finland, so the real choice is between Denmark and Finland :)
Denmark has Legoland, and the little mermaid.
Finland has saunas, beautiful people, Santa Claus, Lapland and great times all around.
I hope I answered your question!

Im from Finland, and I know that im unpatriotic to say, but I`d go to Sweden.
People are polite, good lookin, helpful. There`s so much to see;the lakes, stockholm, lapland, malmö, göteborg; I suggest you rent a car and circle around Sweden for a week or two.
Norway:expensive and not much to see outer than fjords
denmark:average citylife in copenhagen, thats about it. language extremely difficult
Finland: People are hermit-alikes here (I assume that this is a bad thing for americans) ,everything is expensive and not so much to see. The big towns are alike to any commercial smalltown in europe, and there`s nothing here that you wont find from Sweden.
The only really interesting place to see in finland is archipelago of turku, but you cant get there, and there`s no places to stay over night. It`s a quite big shame that we have not fixed that matter for tourists. I myself have my own smallboat so I know what the tourists are missing big time ;)

You could always go to Finland. The other three Scandinavian countries are very much alike with similar languages and related culture, but Finland stands out of a bit more odd than the others.
How Do I know? Well, from my own experience, been living in three of the countries and visited frequently the third.
