I am interested in finding an accupuncturist. Howerever, in the face of the sudden surge of the alternative medicine trend I do not know how to tell the fakes from the phonnies. I called this one place and they made little effort to sell me on the benifits of chosing their center of the many other 1000 Just in the city alone. I am under alot of stress from school with maintaining a 3.5 GPA, but I fear that this semster i may either pop or I may compromise my GPA. I do not drink smoke or do drugs. I take time away from training and working out to study study and study. So I have constant flow of input without many outlet options. and the few that I do have are burden with restraints. Adivce from people that have been seen by accupucturest would be greatly appreciated and by all means don't skimp on the details.

I suggest saving your money and invest in a good magnetic mattress pad to relieve stress through deep, restorative sleep. Also, make sure you get daily exercise as that's a terrific stress reliever.

That's not to say that acupuncture isn't effective. There's good research to back it up. I just prefer to stimulate these points using something I can do myself and which poses no danger, like a properly designed piece of magnetic jewelry or a magnetic pad to tape over a particular area.

For instance, I can't read in a moving car but I was able to read for 2 hours straight in a car when I taped one of my magnetic pads to the meridian point in my wrist. This is the same point that would be stimulated by acupunture/acupressure to relieve nausea.

Keep Well,
Rob
