let me get this right ?...After you changed the oil , ¿and filter?
The light was still on, and you didn't start the car?
the light operates when there is low oil presure in engine or anytime the engine is not running, if the oil pressure light does not go out after 30 seconds of starting the engine, turn off the engine, then you have a problem like the sending unit.

If your worried get oil pressure checked, there would be alot of ratteling comming from engine if low oil pressure if ok, oil sending unit problem, I think there is one sending unit for the oil pressure and 1 for the oil pressure light. I believe you can change that inexpensive part like 15 to 20 dollars. Probally sending unit from past experience.

you need to make sure its the sensor before you drive it. you could have a bad oil pump or your main bearings could be worn out. does it come on when the engine idles down or does it stay on? usually if it comes on at idle and goes off if you rive the engine up a little its the main bearings going out. the mains can be changed with the engine in the car but you need to read the repair manual before you attempt this. its a pretty good job.

You need an oil pressure switch, the old one is defective, unless you have a loud knocking sound from the engine, then the switch is fine and the engine is bad.

i would replace the sensor first and see if that if that fixxed your problem, if if dont you need to take it in and have them run a test on the oil pressure.
