It is a very good car and the "EX" is the top of tghe line model
this vehicle also still has 150,000 mile emissions warranty that would cover any emissions or ignition problems under warranty through Honda. You can also get a 1 time freee tune up from Honda between 75000-150000 miles.
One potential common problem is with the ABS Acumulator and Modulator that seem to go out like clockwork after about 130,000 miles-if this should happen it can cost around $1,500 to repair. Other than that this car has no other known potential problems other than the emissions but like I said that would be under warranty if that should happen....Very good car to buy for a commuter.

Ex is faster as compared to the LX as the EX trim has the VTEC engine which has more horsepower. For example, the 5th gen F22B1 VTEC engine had 145 HP stock at the crank, whereas the F22B2 non-VTEC engine had 130 HP stock at the crank. The EX has more options base than the other trim models such as the sunroof etc. Of course some of the options can be added onto the LX from the factory when the car is bought new, but the engine cannot be, hence why \the LX is a slower car than the EX.

its a very reliable car and the car's suspensions and ride quality are great even at high miles like 200,000
LX = power windows, power door locks + (optional ABS)
EX = LX + vtec engine (+17hp) + alloy wheels + sunroof + ABS + (optional leather seats)
EX has very good pickup cause of its vtec engine and the alloys are good and the tires are wide so you get better grip and ABS is standard
Even the EX comes as another model with V6 engine which is 170 hp ( inline 4 , lx = 130 & ex = 147)
and the V6 engine man its has amazing pickup
i was looking for this car couldn't find had to settle down for a lx :(

Yes it is a very good car but you definitely want the EX. It comes loaded and most importantly it has a Vtech motor.

It is good and reliable. The problem is prices, these things don't depreciate quickly. A good place to compare cars is edmunds.com you can see what other owners have to say about each car.
