There are a lot of variables. 1. Where is the school district located and how much does it receive in property or state taxes
2. Salary scale: usually based on how long the teacher has been teaching, and what degrees, or how many hours the teacher has earned toward a higher degree or certificate.
3. Whether or not there is a union

Many schools allow you to decide if you want to have your pay divided and receive pay during the summer. Most teachers do.
At a beginning level you can expect to bring home about $1200.00 every 2 weeks. As you get raises and experience this amount will of course go up.
