probably not. dishwasher detergent is specially formulated to dissolve quickly, not to generate too much suds, to disinfect the dishes (contains chlorine bleach). definitely do not use regular dishwashing liquid--it produces way too many suds, and will cause your machine to overflow suds on to the floor.

Automatic dishwasher detergent: Fill the cup with baking soda and pour in bleach on top of it. Your dishes will sparkle.

I've never tried it, but I bet it works!

you can use a little drop of washing powder the detergent a little not a lot.
