I bought something quite expensive the other day but by accident put it in the washing machine and dryer.... its OKish but it looked like it has white fluff ontop of the colour only i CANT get it off.... what can I do to restore it?

Is it white fluff from something else? if so try a clothes brush, if you don't have a clothes brush, wrap your hand with the non sticky part of cellotape and tap the material with the sticky bit. failing that i don't have a clue

a lint shaver should do the job, you can buy them from any household store such as woolworths or wilkosons and mail order through places like betterware and lakeland limited. Also try out your local dry cleaners, to see if they can solve the problem for you...

It's hard to advise you without knowing what the item is made from (e.g. silk, viscose, cotton etc) and the type of material (e.g. woven, knitted, felted).
Did you wash it alone or was it with other things? Could it have been subjected to too high a temperature?

oh i hate it when this happens wash it again alone and tumble alone then brush with a clothes brush if that fails take to a dry cleaners babes x

depends what material it is. You can buy these de bobbler things they work. Try celotape. ??
