What laptop?

Question

i want to buy a cheapish laptop so i can use the internet while i am out, does anyone have any ideas and tell me what i need to look for on specs. plz

Try Dell.Because you'll never go wrong with it. Customer support is fantastic.If for office use get the Dell Latitude but for home use get the Dell Dimension. Just get one with Combo drive (Superdrive is best) at least 60GB Hard Drive, 256MB minimum graphics memory, wireless (if possible), Pentium m, Windows but Linux OS is cheaper. I wouldn't rave over the reliabliltyof the DELL how ever they are cheap . If you really knew exactly what you needed you wouldnt be asking us so I presume you just want a basic functional laptop which DELLs or PC world efforts are. If you want to be more demanding you must look into your requiremnts more and probably choose a higher spec laptop

You can always look into ebay for cheaper options. Dell is pretty good. I like HP better myself. We ahve 12 at work and they travel all around the world for projects and none has borken so far. If you buy Dell make sure you don't buy the one with the battery that bursts into flames.

Go to DELL.com and your world is your oyster. You need wireless LAN if you want to be mobile. But that is standard these days. You cant beat the price unless you go for second hand. You could try eBay
