Today in R.E we were watching a video about a boy called Rohit Dougle (spelling?) who was 16 and just finished his GCSE's and was out celebrating with his mates.
These other boys started calling him racist names because he was Hindu and he walked away but they followed him and one stabbed him with a knife and killed him just because he was from a different country.
But it doesn't stop there. His family and other people (English as well) went on a peaceful march to commerate his death and show that they want to stop these racial attacks. A HUGE MOB of people were throwing rubbish at the marchers and shouting abusive and racist comments.
This couple's 16 year old son had just been murdered simply because he was Indian and they were laying flowers where he was killed and there are these people shouting filthy comments at them. It actually made me feel sick the way people can be so hateful.
Who else thinks that is disgusting? How can we stop these attacks? WHY ARE PEOPLE SO RACIST?

I know people murder white people etc, sorry I didn't point that out. I do mean ALL races and ALL types of racism. It's just that that was what the video was about in class so I just used that as an example.
I'm against all racism.

Racism and discrimination are weapons of mass distraction used for ages.Two groups are involved in here: low intellectual to be led and high intellectual will be at the top to gain their own goals. It is just an excuse to mask real target with hate. When someone in hate station that someone cannot possibly be rational. So be ware! And good for you to stand against that

Aah, babe tha'ts life. The world will always be full of ignorant freaks, all you can do is be the best person you can and try your best to influence your own enviroment and people around you. It's unrealistic to think you can change the world but as long as your a good person you should be able to sleep well at night and have a happy life. Lifes too short to stress. You sound like a great kid! Don't ever just 'go with the flow', always do what you think is right and you'll be cool.

Racism is generally good, think about the stereotypes. The people who get a raw deal from it are white people.
The Stereotypes:
White = Normal
Black = Strong Libido
Indian = Spirituality
Oriental = Intelligence and Manners
The stereotypes for all non-white people are always positive, and there is no stereotype for us other than "normal".
Who wants to be normal?
Admittedly there are people out there who take things to the extremes, sometimes violent extremes, but generally racism is nothing more than the active recognition of the differences between races and cultures. My personal view is that without it we would all be the same and who wants that? Show me one person who isn't proud of something their ancestors have achieved!

I agree with you- it is disgusting. However unfortunately there will always be people like that around.
I think that the law needs to be tougher- is one way of trying to stop these attacks. If society looked down more on this behaving i doubt it would happen as much.
Its amazing- you get more time in prison for fraud than you do for murdering some-one!!!

Let's put aside the crass stupidity of racist vermin like roy...
Discrimination is bullying. The type of discrimination merely describes the particular hatred that the bully peddles. For example, Roy does not bother to hide his loathing for people from other races, in that he blames them for the crimes that they are subjected too! It is typical of his kind that he seeks to justify his evil by blaming its existence on his intended victims.
To get back to your question...the reason people are so racist is that they are frightened. The reason they are so frightened is that they are so stupid. The reason they are so stupid is that that being stupid is what they want to be....they believe all the rubbish that is meant to make them feel frightened...and they ignore any information other than that which makes them feel like the peasants attacking Frankensteins castle!!!!
Racists are always two things...weak...and stupid.
Bullying is evil...whatever the reason for it.
I am not a pacifist...don't misunderstand me....Racists deserve to die...and their vermin families deserve to die with them.
I notice the scum are not answering...are they afraid to be treated like they treat others???????????????

I read an article recently that postulated that our dislike of those who are different from ourselves is an ancient response. When we climbed out of the trees about 2-3 million years ago we were concerned primarily with safety, food and the continuation of our line. If you spotted someone different it meant danger. Unfortunately we have carried that gene into another era. In our global society we will have to embrace these differences if we are to survive.

There is no easy answer. It is the nature of man. It goes back to the beginning of time. If anyone is different in any way, there will always be someone that hates them. It is on the news every night. People fighting with other people in every country. Shites vs. Sunnis, Christians vs. Jews, blacks vs. whites, gays vs. straights, etc. It's sad. Unfortunately, I don't think it will ever end.

People of different race dont help themselves by not integrating, bringing in seperationist religions and complaining too much about how they aren't been supported enough by the state. Plus due to the "lack of state support" they decide to become criminals in search of a quick buck, or murderers or rapists in search of quick gratification, I personally believe it is evolution some races just haven't evolved as far or as fast as others.
