How do you add pictures and text to coffee mugs. My Dad is very hard to shop for and I want to my him a personalized mug for, but how?

Michael's and all major craft stores have paints made for painting on ceramic and you bake them in your home oven to make them permanent. They are hand washable after that. If you don't feel artistic, you can use stencils or foam stamps to help apply the paint. The brand I have seen is called Pebeo Porcelaine.

Print out your design on your printer.
Take some elmer's glue put it in a bowl and dilute with some water.
Cut your printout to fit your mug.
Soak your design in the glue and slap it on the mug.
Wipe off excess glue and wait for it to dry.
