But what if he wasnt heckled and just did his set about black people in general. About how they walk, talk, dress, have sex, etc. would that have been ok? just want to know what everyone thinks about white comedy routines that target blacks. Would they be considered racist or just good comedy? what do you think?

i think any white comedian who took a Richard Pyror routine and reversed the roles in it, would be considered a huge racist.

Kramer "lost it" said some stupid things-big deal.

He didn't shoot anyone...world, move on.

Hopkins,Mosley,Winky Wright,Jones Jr., have been all rightfully given credit for there hall of careers by HBO. different warring parties they have praised are Trinidad(P.R.) and David Haye(U.ok.) or maybe in spite of the undeniable fact that Trinidad is Puerto Rican. Black is black. no person denies Mayweather's skills and ability. i think of Lamley, provider provider and Stewards subject like many others contemplate why he has placed the skills and ability to the try with the terrific in his divison while there became into lots skills around him. He ducked Mosley and Winky and Cotto And Margarito and opted for Hatton and De l. a. Hoya and retirment. Hopkins and a didnt have the main thrilling type the two yet he fought Jones,Trinidad.De l. a. Hoya,Eastman,Wright,Calzaghe,Tarver and Taylor two times. Now thats a resume that even a humdrum type that money could make. So basically he's not justified in his comments he's a lot out of line and to accuse somebody of rasicm is a large deal. He had his hazard and is barely 31 he nonetheless can take incredibly some fights to tutor himself. area Bar: it is remarkable how fairly human beings have forgotton approximately Floyd and function jumped on Pacquio. i think of that shows his occupation wont final the try of time.

I was talking to my wife earlier this evening about comdians doing stand up routines. The first thing a comedian must do whenever performing is know his audience. If you are a comedian performeing in front of a white crowd you are going to do "white friendly" jokes without grossly offending anyother race that may be at the performance. This same goes if you are speaking in front of a black audience or hispanic so on so on. It may not be well understood by the public but some things that black people say about black people can only be said by black people.

Are you aware that high blood pressure is more prevalent in black people? Now you know why.

Here's how I deal with racism - which I face several times a day, not once in a while at a comedy club:

I ignore it.

No, it's not directed at you. It's directed at the whiny SOB who posted this question.

I feel that if his show was just talkin bout black people in general it might have been funny b/c most black comedians target white people. But using the "N" word was just crossing the line. As a young black woman I was offended. But I do feel that you can compare races in your comedy and make people laugh with out offending anyone.

He's a racist.

Lost your cool and swear...you lost your cool
What he said he meant and not in gest...racist.

ALL comedians get heckled. A professional knows how to handle that and doesn't lose his cool. You can't lose your cool at work...and he was at work. BUT....over all the big difference is not that he lost his cool - but what he said. You canNOT compare his ANGRY remarks directed pointedly at two people specifically to some other stand up comedians routine.

It's a no brainer...he is a racist. Pure and simple.

If people can accept that and still like him...fine...if they can't - I'm on their side. He apologized (finally) last night by Jerry Seinfeld's urging...whatever...doesn't change who he is. (not for me)

So you're saying if Michael Richards did Chris Rock's comedy act would it be funny or racist?

I'm gonna go with RACIST!

Just the same though if Chris Rock did John Leguizano's comedy act

or

Carlos Mencia did Jeff Foxworthy's act

Everyone seems to believe that "You can make fun of any race as long as its yours".

I can't say what I want about Michael w/o a violation here. He has gobs of cash to retire on more than you or I ever will have. He was probably spewing what he really thought he should not realizing he was among strangers that were hurt by it all and rightfully so I must say. He let out his deep inner self drunk, sober or high.

I think it is just good comedy. I have friends of all races that say the word ****a. It is how you say it. If you say whats up ****a then its cool. If you say it all mean and stuff then it's bad. When most white people say it they say it to be mean.(my own opinion) White people called slaves ****ers, then when the white man was back at the house, the other slaves in the cabin use to imitate the "Master". Ni*ga do this , Ni*ga do that. Then word just started to become part of the language. I lived in a lot of places and it seems like in all black communities they use the N word universally. Then you have black people who say don't say the word at all and will get mad if they here it come out of another persons mouth regardless of race or color. I think there is a time and a place to say the word if you want to.

Borat did that in his movie. He made fun of how blacks dressed and talked. He made fun of everybody. Was he a rascist or pointing it out. The whole movie left me with an unclean feeling? I think it was just a cheap way to make money to laugh at an easy target.
