Lately, things bother me. Like, I went to work, and the door I generally go through to punch in was blocked, and so I would have went around, but instead of doing that, which is really easy, I started bawling and had to go home. I am scared that people see things in my head and therefore try to avoid them--had to run out of my one class because there seemed that there was something that was choking me and I didn't want anyone to see...I cannot sleep, and when I am up at night I look at the ceiling and the halls outside of my dorm and they seem to be coming down on me, closing in on me. I can't get my work done, because I cannot concentrate, and I'm having a hard time even leaving my room for food because I get panicked. I can't call out on the phone anymore because I've developed a phobia of it, and I am scared of my own voice...I don't know what to do, or what this is.

Sorry this is long.

I also find that I have to do the same thing every day. Like I try one meal a day and that meal has to be lunch and I have to have chicken fingers and a small fry and chocolate milk or it doesn't feel right--I have to sit in certain chairs and take certain routes to all my classes or else I get freaked out.

You're not insane. I guess you're a student, this is the worst time for getting stressed and you have just become very stressed and anxious. When you get panic attacks you can feel really awful and the world doesn't seem quite real anymore. The reason why you eat the same things is to get some control back in your life.

The number one best thing to do is go to your university health service - it should be free, it is confidential and the doctor will have seen many many students before you with the same symptoms. You will need to take medication for awhile to calm down, but don't worry this is only temporary.

Try to spend some time relaxing, breathe deeply, eat properly and do some exercise, these will all help you feel more normal. Do something you like and try to think realistically about things. Try to get mind over matter, though this will be very difficult at first as you are in an anxiety state. Once you speak to someone who can help you will feel a big reduction in your anxiety because you will be taking action to improve things and you will have an ally who will be trying to help you.

Remember you are not alone and things will get better.

Some of the info in the following online articles may apply, but you may also need professional help. You'l notice among the articles some designed to help your family & friends to understand what you're going through, & how they can help. Most people don't have a clue, and can make things worse when attempting to help. So you might ask them to read those that fit what you seem to be experiencing. When doing so, it they can also serve as the icebreaker for broaching the subject ...

I can tell you from personal experience you really should have a psychological evaluation if things like this are really bothering you. I went through something similar a few years back, never gone to a shrink yet, and I'm still getting worse, even after a breakthrough. These things never really go away, and untreated they can ruin you.

It sounds like you may just have some sort of anxiety disorder, but it could be the onset of something more serious, and I urge you to get the proper help if it's really affecting your life. It's probably not just stress, and it may get worse.
Good luck, and don't let anyone shove a bunch of pills down your throat right away, it's no solution unless you have a serious illness.

You are not insane you are discovering that which no longer works for you or society as a whole organism. You out of touch with The Truth. Seek out nature. Learn deep breathing excercises. Yoga, Learn to love yourself. forgive yourself. You are such an awesome person yet you have been brainwashed to be so little so you can be controlled my the external. Seek your freedom. Ask for assistance in your dreams. I am not joking ask for assistance fron your guardian angel . They exist not the way religions say but they are very real. We are brainwashed to give up our power to which wants power over us ie: religion, govt.,, medical ***., media etc. etc. These Authority figures want to "feed" on youand youare the end of your rope so to speak. Stand up for you seek the truth. You will know the Truth when you feel it. There are many claiming to know the truth but in many cases it is their truth or one they have Bought in to. I am talking about The Truth. Trust your intuition you will know what is correct for you this is your mission. there are many roads to The Truth. Take what you need from all the sources and leave the rest. Read Caroline Myss works she has some awesome stuff, I can go on forever but I am not here to write a book. seek and you shall find. follow your heart it is the best compass you will ever find. Trust yourself. Love yourself. Forgive your self. BE yourself! Only you can live your life. Allow your needs and want s to become the same. Destiny is you making choices for you. Fate is when you allow the universe/ world to give you what ever comes along. Take personal responsiblity for loving life.

Well I would say that sounds a little strange, but definitly ot insane. Sounds like you just need to relax or take a break from work. Relax. Relax. Relax. And instead of making silly decisions, think about what the logical thing to do is. Go on a picnic too.

A few things. Depending on your age puberty would contribute to a lot of that. It's all a result of stress and yes you are a little insane. I'm not gonna lie =/. Don't get it in your head it's your fault though. You have no idea how to control it. If you begin to think it is your fault it will get worst. Realize you are weird. I have and it helps me do things.. I feel more regular knowing i'm not regular. Talk to a phsycoligist in person (sorry.. even if you talk to one on answers it won't fix things as well). Everyone is crazy. All in different ways. Yours is just a little worst. Sorry.

no, you are not insane, and i'm not a psychologist or psychiatrist, but what you're describing sounds like some sort of anxiety disorder. this can be effectively managed with an antidepressant -- either an SSRI like Zoloft or a new, tricyclic drug are first line prescriptions for anxiety. regular cardiovascular exercise, and/or therapy will also help manage your symptoms.

talk to your doctor soon if you want to quit living in a panicked state.

If these reactions are all recent, I would definitely suggest seeing a doctor or a therapist. My guess is that these are brought on by something that is or was going on in your life.

Try to relax, and don't be afraid to ask for help from a professional. You are not crazy!!!

Take care!

Honestly, I would go and see a doctor. You are certainly not insane. What you are describing, I wouldn't take too lightly. I suggest you see a professional and get an opinion.
