My guy friend invited me to his play, it is a professional play. He is performing in it, and the theatre is fancy, and I have no idea what to wear. He says you are not supposed to dress like, FANCY, just like, wear something nice. So like no dresses or blazers and trousers because I hate that style. I am way ahead of that, thank you very much. LOL.

OK get a fashionable dress NOT long then put jeans under it and some high heels! So your not to dressy but kinda dressy! Tell me if you like it! :-D

dark gray silk button up shirt tucked into a black pencil skirt. wear some pearls (like varying length strands) and pull your hair back into a loose updo. Wear some heels. That is sex appeal out of the wazoo, classy, and professional all at once. If his jaw doesn't drop to the floor, then he's gay. If you aren't into all of the girlie stuff, I would probably just wear some nice jeans and a silk shirt and heels.

I would say do the Black dress with silver accessories but you don't do that well. Try some Boot jeans a cleavage showing shirt with cool heels or boots that you like. Hope I helped you a bit.

Wear gaucho style pants (they can look casual or fancy depending on how you accessorize) ... a loose slinky top, casually chic jewelry and a *hot* pair of heels. You'll fit in anywhere you go! Kick it, Mama!

Try a button up shirt like the ones at abercrombie. don't get the exact ones, but their button up shirts are really cute and wear a pair of cords or black pants.

something cute! dress appropriate but not too dressy. like a simple pair of blue jeans and a collar shirt. and maybe the shoes should be a little heel.

You can never go wrong with a nice black dress. For this occasion, I recommend one with long sleeves, not too long, maybe a knit type--not too clingy. You're going for simply classy, so wear pearls if you have them.

I would wear a pair of dressy black pants--maybe pinstriped depending on the top. and i would pair it with a dressy top--maybe a silky tank in neutrel colors. then wear black heels and for accessories maybe one of those longer beaded necklaces and a cute clutch to carry along with you.

Fancy means = long dresses. If you don't like those, wear those long coats. Be respectful too!

How about a pair of black slacks and a nice sweater. You can play it up with heels and accessories.
