i'm 13 too, i've been doing ballet sence i was 5 (my first year of pointe! yay!). it's hard to stretch when your older because your muscles have built up. have you ever noticed how only FAT people can do splits easliy? know why? there is NO muscle to stretch!!! so, be patient. i'm not too flexible either, but my mom (who did ballet most her youth) tells me to do diffrent streches eachd day, and you know what? it has helped a lot!
good luck and keep on dancing!

nicely you may stretch after or in the time of class, maximum ballet training have a 5 minute smash era the place you stretch and a knowledgeable instructor will handbook you. in case you are trying to earnings ballet on your very own, outdoors of the studio, then it extremely is extremely risky. you're extra suitable of attempting to fly a airplane with none preparation for the 1st time, it extremely is how problematical (and unsafe) ballet is.
