Favourite - 1997. I spent the evening flirting with a nice South African boy who jokingly proposed to me.
Worst - 2006. I spent the whole of the night beforehand being really sick and felt very tired, sore and sorry for myself.

In 1997, I got chucked in a swimming pool at midnight, which was another reason why it was quite cool (This was in Africa in the middle of Summer - I wouldn't want to do that in the UK).

Best was when i lived with the kids 1990 - 1999.
Worst was on the New Years Eve morning 1999, when i found out my wife had an affair, and pretending everything was ok to the children. It almost killed me.

Worst: 2005/2006. Went to a houseparty. I was the only female. Other half was the only attached male. Other guests were host and three friends (all male and single). At one point, one of the guests observed that I was a woman and as such could I tell him where he was going wrong in chatting up women? Entertainment: host is famed for having a slightly bizarre music/video collection; I didn't expect to see 2006 in watching Radiohead videos. At one point, I was seriously debating walking the five miles to my elderly mother's as I would have a more exciting evening there.
Best? 1992/1993 - the first NYE that other half and I were together, and we'd not been together that long. We went out for dinner, went back to his place, had a few drinks .... get the picture? ;-)

The worst was spent in some seedy night club in 89, with a room full of drunks listening to 80's music

I am going to goa india at new year and its my birthday also when i am there.
Worst was falling asleep at 11.30 for the millenium and waking at 1.45 then partying!
