thats just guns, no stats on knives, bats , pipes, fists etc: Why not goto war on ourselves and wipe the mass amount of killers off the face of the planet? per capita, the soldiers are safer in Iraq than they are at home.

Your figures are wrong. I doubt there were that many homicides in the USA in 2001. That would mean 1500 for each state in the union. In the state I live in we may have 20 in a year, the surrounding states about the same. One to the north about a 100. Your figures are way off. It may have been 7000. That was also the year of 9/11, and guns were not involved in that. Had security people on board had guns the disaster would have been avoided. There was a county in Georgia where people were ordered to have guns and crime dropped way down. You see the signs, this property guarded by shotgun 3 nights a week, guess what nights.
