i know that you find out your IP adress,which i have, and you type it in your adress box in your web browser and then you go to a place where you can configure your router and open/forward ports.
But before i can configure anything i need a user name and password. i have done this before with a different router and customer support said the defualt password is admin but i dont havea user name, and it wont let me just use a password. so can you please tlel me where to find or what is the user name??? please e mail me if you are unsure about somehting

i have a linksys router but I AM USING A MOTOROLA router(its also for conage phone) and i think it might be different for motorola

I assume you are talking about the router IP address. Try 192.168.1.1 especially if it is a linksys router. Then the User name is admin and password is admin.
You can also get this information from the routers owners manual.

The username and password is the one that you created when you first configured your router. For linksys the default username is admin and it doesnt have any password. For belkin devices there are no usernames and passwords. If you still cant remember the password that you set on the router, try reseting it to factory default by pressing on the reset button on the back or bottom of the router, then configure it again.

Try admin as the user name and motorola as the password, thats the default on some motorola routers.
