If you are using it just to listen to while you wait, or when you work out, its a perfect size. I'm guessing since you're going with a nano that this is the type of use you'll use it for? Its really easy to swap out playlists and stuff with itunes. Apple charges more for the larger memory models because they know people will buy into the "if its larger its better" concept.

The 1GB will be the older version of NANO. You should be able to put over 200 songs on it. That is a lot of music and if the price is right, that might be just what you need. The newer Nano only comes in 2GB minimum.

sure. i gb hold up to 240 4minute songs. it is worth it because its cheaoer, and you can delete the songs after wards. in my opinion, just stick 2 cd's because i have had 2 ipods (i had 2 return 1 to get the other) and my brand new second generation ipod isnt working!!!!!!!!!!

yeah sure it's good if you know that you wont put more than 150 songs in it but i would recomend at least a 4GB ipod
then you will have about 4x the number of songs to choose from

yeah they seem cool, it stores enough music and its nice and small . . . go for it. . . if they got a sale get me one too. . . .j/k happy thanksgiving
