my car has to warm up before it will go, i was told to change the tranny filter but believe me i can see through it should it be change just the same

If you've got it out, the yes change it. You've already got it apart, then you'll also know exactly when it was changed.

now that you went to all the trouble, sure, go ahead. but what you should have done was have the tranny flushed. this removes ALL the old fluid and if done properly a chemical is added that helps to clean all the valves in the valve body. it may not cure your problem but it will rule out some of the possibilities.

this does sound like the filter. it is recommended that you replace the fluid and filter in the transmission every 50k miles.

yes change it.just because you can see through it doesnt mean its not bad.for all it cost,do it and put new oil in too.thats what wrong,its not pumping up fast enough.

Change it. It won't hurt to be too clean, you know. Check the modulator, too.
