my daughter loved this one from the book, Baby Lets Eat by Rena Coyle.....

Caramelized Onions with Apples and Carrots

1 teaspoon safflower oil
1 medium onion peeled and thinly sliced
1 apple peeled cored and thinly sliced
2 carrots peeled trimmed and thinly sliced
1/4 cup of water

place the oil and onions in a medium skillet. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, over medium low heat until brown about 15 minutes.

Add the apples, carrots and water. Cover and continue to cook slowly until the carrots are tender, 5 to 7 minutes.

Puree the mixture and freeze in ice cube trays.

My daughter loved it, I did not however use the oil. This is in the 6 to 12 month range

Cook fresh peas til tender but still a little firm, mash to a paste with fork, My son loves them!
DO NOT make beet, carrots, spinach, turnips or collard greens. They have a chemical that causes anemia. Use store bought baby food if you want your child to have these in there diet,They have a way to get rid of the chemical.

If this is for a little baby, you can process of blend his food to make it mushy. For dinner you can feed him the samething that you are eating, just put it in the food processor or blender. If it is a toddler, chopped hot dogs, or mac-n-cheese, spaghetti or ravioli, also you can go down the baby isle at your grocery store and the have dinners that are already prepared, just stick it in the microwave.

Simmer tofu (extra firm kind) in beef broth. Mash up and enjoy. Great source of protein.
