You heard right, Donna. Sky are offering the basic package of upto 8Mb download speed, with a monthly usage limit of 2GB for free. (This is called Sky Broadband Base.) There is a £40 activation fee for this package.
Obviously, that wouldn't suit everyone, so they're also offering Sky Broadband Mid, which is upto 8Mb download speed, with a monthly usage limit of 40GB for £20. There is a £20 activation fee for this package.
They're also offering Sky Broadband Max, which is upto 16Mb download speed, with an unlimited monthly usage limit. There is no activation fee for this package.
These Broadband packages are not yet available in all parts of the country. They are advising people to subscribe to their Sky Broadband Connect package, which currently costs £17, stating that they will transfer you across as soon as the service becomes available where you live, if it's not currently available.
Sky are also advising you to register your interest now by visiting http://www.sky.com/broadband or go to Sky Active or call them on 08702 402 900
