I'm going to say both.
DC has the best animated shows for their superheroes. When you look at the quality voice acting, storytelling, and consistent animation of shows like Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: TAS, Batman Beyond and Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, it's easy to simply pick DC based on the fact that they've created one of the most cohesive and epic series of all time in the DC Animated Universe. When I pick up a DC comic, however, I simply don't get the same pleasure as I do the shows. Maybe it's because I've been so spoiled by the cartoons that the convoluted history of the comics just don't appeal to me.
With Marvel, I can't say that their cartoons are bad... it's just that they're not as consistent as the DC shows. With the comics, however, I can just pick up almost any issue of Spider Man and enjoy what's going on. They're a lot more enjoyable and accessible than the DC comics. Oh yeah, and thus far, I think Marvel has the better movies. Both Spider Man movies have been great and I'm eagerly looking forward to the third one.

Marvel Comics are definitely better. They have a longer interactive history, even though DC has been around longer. Marvel, if not inventing the concpt,of carrying over stories from one issue to the next, certainly brought it to a fine art.
DC comics, at least the older ones, were an easier read, less seven syllable words.

Marvel comics all the way.My absolute favorite artist of all time John Byrne of Alpha Flight fame.I just find that the powers from this universe are far more believable than those from DC.
