mmmmm.. none of them I'd say. I'm not a catholic, I am a christian... I have six children cos I love children. It seems like most big families have a strong faith but not always. Maybe a few catholics don't practice contraception but most I know in the younger generation have small families. Christians are meant to trust God with their lives but it is not always easy for them.... it is rewarding however. Children are a blessing from the Lord according to the Bible. Sounds incredible but for some Christians,(including Catholics) friends and family means more to them than possessions or position.

I am religious, but not Catholic, so we do not have a large family. We stopped at two. From my understanding Catholics have a lot of children b/c they don't believe in practicing birth control.

Because children are a gift from God. Christian couples understand that part of the reason they get married is to welcome new life into the world. They understand that a family is the most stanble place to raise a child. They are generous with their time and their treasures, and are willing to sacrifice certain material possesions to bring more souls into the world.

Actually, I thought the Church wanted more followers. If you tell all your followers to breed like rabbits then you'll have a larger congregation. Thereby ensuring the survival of that Church.
