Why is it people say championship should be decided on the field & then turnaround & say games don't count?

Why is it you always hear fans say the title should be decided on the field and then turnaround and say let's have a do over. Michigan wants a second chance but I thought game should be decided on the field and it was wasn't it? I mean didn't Michigan already have its chance to decide the outcome on the field? Didn't Arkansas already have its chance against a top BCS team?

They ment the team making the championship would eb decided on the field but then the game doesnt really count for the loser because they lost and now dont have anything to be playing for since they cant make the national champonship.
