I'd say,"wot the hell you talkin about"? Sorry, a model of what? Asian Americans are just Americans with an ethnic background.Pacific Island Americans the same.Same as here in Australia we are all from an ethnic background, unless you have indigenous blood. We may not like it but its reality.

Yea I agree with the person up above. I'd tell em they are ethnically challenged with a touch of ignorance.
I'm pacific islander (filipina) and I know my lifestyle is pretty different from those who are of asian decent. foods, morals . . a lot. Given, most of the AA and PI are americanized if residing in the states . . but really, I hate to be classified into categories.

I've never met a "Pacific Islander" but I believe that Asian Americans have contributed much to our society; at least they impress me. The Asians I've met are very hard workers not only in school but in the business place. They seem to strive for excellence.

that's a standard false impression. I hate while people consult with an Asian individual as "that one chinese language newborn" while the guy is jap or Korean or in spite of they could be. it relatively is ignorant to team all Asians in one vast pot.

I would tell them that they are ignorant. Chinese American's have very different culture than say Filipino American's. We are all different and diverse.
