I am a 33 year old female. I have a 16month old son and when I was pregnant with him I hate pre-eclampsia but since shortly after his birth my BP returned to normal....typically 114/62 Here is my question... The last few days I have been having dizzy spells. Not like spinning dizzy. But almost like a weird feeling and lightheadedness almost as if I wasn't myself. Hard to explain. Anyway, it was only a time or two but then last night at work I felt that way the whole entire evening. A co-worker and I went to the floors together in fear that I would fall over in the hallway. So, we decided to take my BP. First it was 150/85 (taken immediately after walking) Then I sat down for about 15 minutes, took it again and it was 155/78. Sat down for a while longer and tried the other arm and it was then much lower...can't recall (but in the norm). But I still felt "weird" This morning I went to the grocery store and felt dizzy again and took my BP and it was 140/102. What is going on???

One other thing that has been going on with me during this same time is that I have a strange pain in the right side of my abdomen almost directly across from my naval. It is very painful when I have intercourse or while trying to have a bowel movement. Not sure if they are related but maybe someone will have a clue.

Everyone is going to scream hypertension, but it would not come on this suddenly. Don't let them slam you with hypertensive drug therapy. Diet is much better way to control. Anyway you are too young and that probably is not the cause. YOur BP is probably high do to something else going on. One thing that can cause BP to raise is pain. Hmmm, had any of that lately. If you do have kidney stones, the pain could raise your BP, or a possible infection of some sort. Either way, go get checked out and worry about the hypertension down the road. Oh yeah, if it is hypertension, look to diet, the same thing that causes Type 2 diabetes also adds to hypertension, it usually can all be corrected with diet. The problem is, your MD will not know how. Check out the website below.

But yes, GO TO A DOCTOR!

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

well you are definitely having hypertensive episodes. There are a numerous reasons for this, one obvious one being you have hypertension. The pain in your side sounds most probably like a kidney stone. Either way, you need to see your doctor.

You need to be telling this to a doctor - the BP worries me - it is not good and should be checked out by a doctor.
