Actually, there are a couple options. The best is what the other person said - get a long ethernet cable (they have 100ft cables) and hard-wire your xbox to your router. This is the best because you donh't have to worry about your wireless router going out and it will also transfer information faster, causing no lag, and marketplace downloads to go faster.

If that is not an option, you can go wireless. For this you'll need 2 things - an xbox360 wireless adaptor and a wireless router. The xbox360 wireless adaptor cost $99. Of course, you can also buy linksys and dlink gaming adaptors, but make sure that it says "Gaming Adaptor" on the box. They usually run $10-20 cheaper than the microsoft one, but it depends on what you feel comfortable with. Now, the wireless router. You will need a G-Wireless router to send the signal to your xbox. You may already have one, but if not just go and buy one (linksys and dlink are the best; DO NOT BUY NETGEAR - i had one and it constantly lost the signal). DO NOT BUY A WIRELESS N OR MIMO ROUTER. I got rid of my netgear and bought a MIMO G router, and it will not work with the 360 (right now; they may be working on it for the future, but that will require a new adaptor). As long as it is a standard G router, then you'll be fine. Dlink has regular G router for $20-30.

Hope this helps, and enjoy xbox live!

Oh oh oh, i know this one! Ok, rather get a long ethernet cable, and plug it into ur x-box and pc, OR, which is what i do, get an x-box live router. They can be boughten on E-Bay pretty cheap. My brother got one about a year ago!!
