My name is Dave, 24 from Birmingham, England. When replying can you also mention your name and age so i can relate peoples info who are nearer my age if answers come from you. I have used deodorants (many) to remedy this issue to no avail. Sometimes half an hour after a shower i start to sweat again. I'm out of ideas now. Thanks

I'm a girl, 21

You are best off going to the doctor, it may be embarrassing but try going in for some other reason and slip it in at the end, that way you can make a quick getaway at the end!

I sweat alot but mainly because I have no sense of temperature and wear 10 layers in the sun and 1 layer in the snow.

I tried many deodorants- I think Right Guard was better than the rest. If you sweat so soon after a shower then I don't think a anti perspirant will help- You are best off finding out why you sweat so much.

Also deodorants only mask the smell. You will need an anti perspirant stops you sweating and masks the smell. But many of them don't work. Wear aftershave subtly as well in case you think the deodorant is not masking the smell. All you can do in the meantime is keeping taking showers and splashing on aftershave until you see a doctor. But don't put aftershave on if you are already sweating the two smells together isn't good.

Also you might be nervous or anxious about soemthing so either way the doctor is your best option.

Hi,
Hyperhidrosis, also known as polyhidrosis or sudorrhea means excessive sweating; sweating too much
The most active regions of perspiration include the hands, feet, armpits and the groin area because of a relatively high concentration of sweat glands in those areas.
There are two types of hyperhidrosis. Primary focal hyperhidrosis refers to overactive sweat glands that affect certain areas of the body, such as the hands, feet, face or underarms.
This form of hyperhidrosis can't be prevented and isn't contagious because it was probably inherited (although the condition may skip a generation). Secondary generalized hyperhidrosis is total body
sweating prompted by secondary medical conditions or medications.

BO is diet related. Keep off things like milk, eggs, spices, etc and increase your water intake to at least 8 large glasses per day. When you sweat, it must be watery noy near jelly. Also if you have regular exercise your body will not sweat as much once you are fit. The best exercise is brisk walking for maybe 4 miles each day and if you are married make love more often. I do two or three times per day.
Check that your wee is the same colour as the water in the toilet, not any darker. If it is darker, drink more water.

The best test is when you take any of your clothes off you should not be able to smell anythin of you on them. If you do, then drink more water.

It does work.

Hi Dave, I am 27 and my mom and sister suffer from excessive sweating and bo. There is a prescription strength deodarant that is applied with cotton ball. You have to go to see a doctor so they will write you a prescription for it. I have also heard recently on the news that botox injections for the underarms will stop excessive sweating. I would speak with a doctor soon.

Sounds like its really getting to you and the more you sweat the more it happens, why not go see your doctor about it, he will be able to either recommend a deodorant that does work or simple surgery to remove some of the sweat glands, its nothing to be embarrassed about so just go see the doctor and get it sorted for your own benefit.

My sister(she's 11, and going through purberty so maybe its a hormonal thing. I dk) has this too horrible BO and no matter how much deorderant and bathing she does it's just horrible!! I don't even want to be around her because the odor is so offensive and I feel bad for her! I am not sure because we aren't sure ourselfs. She just must have a very active gland in that region of her body as do you. Maybe talking to a doctor or something could help?????? Please let me know what you find out as well!!

I can't use roll ons or sprays due to being allergic to some of the chemicals they use in them. I suggest good old soap and water...
Homeopathy says;
"You have bacteria in your sweat and they act as a defense for you body, however if there is too much you may produce a stronger odour. Or the second cause can be due to homornal imbalances (this can vary depending on your sex)."

Perhaps you should look into this further...

I am 40, from Florida US.

I use Old Spice Body Wash and Old Spice Body Spray.

I wash with the Body Wash and then spray on the Body Spray.

They have many scents available. Pick one that works with your body chemistry.

Works wonders for me.

I have also found some of the AXE body sprays also work.

im female, 23 and i have the same problem, i have never been to the doctor as im too embarrased, i have tryed many deodrants, sprays, perfumes and just recently i didnt have a lot of money so i bought one from the co-op (i work there also), it cost me £1.25 and its brilliant, i stay dry all day now and i wouldnt try any now ive found the one that works, its in a dark blue bottle and its actually a mens one, its co-op own brand one. i hope this is of help to you. ps if you can dont wear clothes that are tight to your armpits because this always makes it worse, and try not to wear to many layers when coming from outside to inside, i used to keep my coat on everywhere to try and hide it, but now i dont its got a bit better good luck xx
