WELL TECHNICALLY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS THERE IS NO CERTAIN AGE LIMIT.....AS LONG AS THE CHILD IS CAPABLE TO TAKE CARE OF SELF AND THERE IS A WORKING PHONE IN THE HOUSE...YOU CAN LOOK IT UP ON THE CPS WEBSITE.....I DID AND IT GIVES YOU A LIST OF THINGS THAT YOU CAN ADN CANT DO....THE CHILD HAS TO BE MENTALLY CAPABLE TO STAY ALONE....
