they called me to work the morning shift from 9 am to 2 pm and i said ok i went in and i was on the floor working the store then they asked me if i could come that same day at five until 9:30 pm to work the register and i said no and he said ok then he asked me again and i said alright i will do it then the other manager asked me again told me to let her know by 2 pm if i was going to stay for sure since she was the late manager i said i will tell her then out of no where the other manager starts screaming at me and tells me to clock out and to not come again. i just want to know if thats a reason to be fired?

this was my 4th day on the job and they never gave me a right schedule and i never got written up

If you were still in a probationary period , then yes they can let you go , but if you have been employed for a while and done with your probationary period then no they cannot fire you for not wanting to work an extra shift , that is a wrongful termination , you can get a Lawyer and sue them for sure .

If your company has a probation period and you are still in the time frame then they can fire you at anytime but if you have worked past the probation period your company will have rules as to what they have to do (say a certain amount of write ups) before termination of employment. On a personal note: sounds like the manager was having a bad day and took it out on you. Call your direct manager and explain to them what happened. You can also call the unemployment office which will have resources for you to use if you choose to file a grievance.

Check to find out if your state is an "at will" state. Being "at will" means an employer can fire you for any reason, providing you are not under a contract.

Hell no, you should not have been fired. I would have beat the sh!t out of that ****** manager if he did that to me.

i dont think there was a reaon, it seems like they are bad bosses. overworking you because that would be 10 and a half hours.
