I am not quite sure what is happening but for the last couple of days I have had some light bleeding, mainly when I wipe. Without soudning too graphic it is a fair bit lighter in colour than that of a normal period. My periods have also been quite irregular recently.... Could I have been pregnant and this is the first signs of a miscarriage?? I have never been through this before and have a healthy 2yr old so any advice would be greatly appreciated....

Im really not too sure what to do for the best now, the nearest A&E is approx 15 miles away and I dont wanna seem stupid going to them.... on the other hand if I am pregnant then I dont want to give the baby the best chance it can have. Does anyone know if I do a pregnancy test and I am in the process of a miscarriage will it still show as positive??

The answer to your question is yes. Even during miscarriage and for a couple of days after pregnancy tests will still pick up the HCG hormone in your body and so show positive.

But as with owt like this no matter how far away it is you should still visit a doctor.

I know it's scary, but you do need to see a doctor. I had something very similar recently - it seemed like my period lasted much longer than usual (over 2 weeks), but it was different towards the end, much lighter. Scared the heck out of me, but my doc was great. Turned out it was just a burst cyst - nothing major at all, but better safe than sorry. It could even be a polyp - again, nothing to worry about - but it's better to rule out the scary stuff. And from the sound of things, it's more likely to be something like this that a miscarriage - there would be more clotting in that case... And apologies if I also seem too graphic.

Signs of Implantation:

light spotting that happens for just a brief period of time around seven to ten days past ovulation. Should be very light, pinkish,or brownish(old blood)
a second thermal shift that occurs around seven to ten days past ovulation.
a dip in temperature that lasts just a single day, around seven to ten days past ovulation.
light cramping is possible, similar to menstral cramps, but not as severe.

Signs of a Misscarriage:

The most common symptom is vaginal bleeding, which can range from light spotting to heavier than a period. You may see blood clots, brown discharge or other tissue that is not clearly identifiable. Sometimes a sac-like structure is seen.

Often there is cramping, with pelvic or back-pain. You may find that the usual symptoms of pregnancy, such as breast tenderness, feeling sick and having to pass urine more frequently than usual, stop unexpectedly.

Sometimes there are no signs or symptoms of miscarriage and pregnancy symptoms continue, and the miscarriage is only discovered in a routine scan.

I think you shouldn't worry about it too much. It can be normal to have some bleeding. The only way to know is to monitor it and hope for the best. I wish you the best of luck. And if it doesn't work out, then just keep trying!! You have one child so there is no reason why you shouldn't have another baby too. Stay positive!!

This is happening to my friend just now, she continues to bleed but the foetus is safe and healthy. It depends where in the womb your are beleeding from. This problem is quite common especially in 2nd or 3rd pregnacies and may not mean anything is wrong with the baby. Go to your doctor and get a reassurance scan to be safe

I'm not a Doctor, but I played one behind the neighbor's garage as a kid.

As a stupid question, get a stupid answer. Go to a Dr. Unless you want to wait three days for the yahoo answer and then rate the best answer determined by your lack of medical attention.

Definately go to the Drs, as soon as you can... it doesn't sound right and if you're not sure whats happening the best person to talk to and seek advice would be the doc..good luck hop all is well

first of all go and get a cheap pregnancy test. If it is pregnant and i don't think it will be this means you need more iron in your system like vitamins. You can go to any health dept and they can help you with no problem for miscarriage they can check your blood for you . good luck.
