Look dude needs to apologyize, if he wants to stay in Hollywood or whatever.

Racism is around us all day every damn day, so to see this was a great example of it but nothing to get fired up about. It's just another day.

A famous white dude that doesn't like Black people, this isn't a new concept.

I think it's a double standard in the fact that rappers say the "N" word (No I don't use it!!) every other word!! And you hear all these little hip hop clowns refer to themselves as it again every other word...I have no problem with the fact that he snapped and called them something they probably refered to themselves as all day long anyway....It was the comment that precipitated it

"If it was 50 years ago you'd be hanging upside down with a fork in your a*s" That blew my mind...

Something like that just doesn't roll off your tongue unless you've thought about it before..That was unbelievably offensive and crossed every there was to cross in my mind!! The dudes career has been dead for years. So I can't even say he buried himself with that comment...But he sure let people know where his mind lies..He's racist no if's ands or buts about it.

There are a lot of things that went wrong with this whole situation.
1. If the hecklers had been asked to leave, as they do in most situations, then the whole club would have been labeled "racist"
2. If you watch Def Comedy Jam, the "n" word is used too much, but considered OK, because most of the audience is black, and the word is accepted by them.
3. If the comedian had been black, and went on a tirade on a white heckler, we would never have heard about it.
Richards has apologized. Accept it and move on.
WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!

I watched the video this morning and I was shocked at some of the things that Michael Richards said. He never struck me as the sort of person that would ever say things like he did. He seemed like a genuine nice guy. I only watched Seinfeld because of the character he played as Kramer. The rest of the cast was OK, but Kramer was my favorite because he made me laugh so long and hard. I grew to love the character and the actor that made him real.

Those guys in the audience who were heckling him deserve to have their collective asses kicked for what they did, but even I have to admit that Michael Richards didn't have to call them racial epithets the way he did. He could have called them idiots, or stupid, or thoughtless bastards, but he didn't have to go as far as he did. What the hell was he thinking? Now a lot of people think the worst about him. All those times I came home from work sad, or depressed, but after watching Kramer do his stuff on television would make the ending of my day not so bad, and even bring a smile on my face.

But I am also a Black man, and now find that my comedic hero, who I thought was a really great guy, thinks that people like me are just *******. This is so sad. Even if he thought that he should never have said that out loud. He should have called those hecklers what they were; loudmouth, disrespectful, stupid idiots who needed to sit down and STFU.

Is there a way that we can forgive this guy for having his one idiotic day in the sun? Can I forgive him for saying those things? Can I still watch Seinfeld without thinking about what Michael Richards said at the comedy club? Can I ever enjoy anything he's ever done again? Answer? Not right now.

Is he sorry for letting those idiots push his buttons so he ended up looking like a damn fool on national televsion and the internet?

Answer:
I think he's sorry that he murdered what little carreer he had left, and I think he's sorry that someone video taped his rant. I think he's sorry he got caught.

I still cannot get myself to believe he's a racist. I gues I'm at that "Say it isnt so" stage in my life.

This world and its people can be so depressing.

Why is it when a white man dropps the N-word it is racest, but when black people do it, it's brotherhood!? that's crap

My husband & I saw Carlos Mencia live a few weeks ago...the enitre show was about how insane it is that white people have "white guilt" and how out of hand "racism" has become. No kidding, EVERY OTHER WORD he said was Ni**a...no one got all up in arms about that now, did they?!

the best you can do is to refuse to support Richards, but don't make it out that the world is against blacks. It wasn't you & it wasn't us so let it go.

At this point it's about attitude and as long as the black population keeps pulling the race card, racism will continue to exsist.

I am offended that he used the 'N' word...like you said, just another white dude that doesn't like black people. The thing that offends me is that he couldn't come up with anything better to tell the hecklers other than that. He is supposed to be a "professional" comedian, that is part of the business, having a good comeback for the people who heckle you. Just poor judgment on his part. I feel sorry for him, because I really did like his character more that any of them on Seinfeld.

MIchael Richards is Jewish/American. It is a very bad thing to be labeled Racist if you are Jewish.Jewish people in America hate racism more than anyone else. Most other people in America think it is just a part of life, deal with it...

I don't know, I would still like to see the whole video before I pass judgment. From what I have seen it doesn't look good for Richards.

I hope you don't mind my responding being that I am white.

I about as sick of this topic as I am of OJ Simpson's book! Black, white, hispanic, asian, middle eastern and whatever ethnic group you are from: The "N" word is a racial word used against black people period! I don't think it is ok for ANYONE (not even blacks) to use that word. What's good for one is good for all!
