The truth about Thanksgiving is that the Pilgrims and the Indians celebrated the day in thanks. The Indians taught the Pilgrims to use maize (corn) and other things to make their life easier and endurable in the new world. There was NO slaughter of Indians at that time!! Where did you ever learn your history!!??

Indians and Anglos were allies during the first Thanksgiving although they really didn't trust each very much. Most of the Indians who died in the years right before the pilgrims died of some kind of plague brought by early traders. Squanto was absent from his home during the plague and in England so he had nowhere to stay so he just lived with the Pilgrims.

yeah, i was there. we were really hungry and ran out of turkey......so we invided the indians over for dinner......they just didn't realize that when we said "for dinner' that meant they would be on the menu........we cooked them and ate them. i don't know why anyone wants to refer to it as a massacre....not very many showed up.
