Yes, if you are over 16 years of age and seated in the box. It is illegal to sit on the sides. No child under the age of 16 may ride in the open cargo area of light trucks.

I grew up in Wisconsin and still travel in the state all the time for work. It is not illegal, but only adults should do it and only if necessary! I was able to drive in Wisconsin at age 15 because we lived on a farm and I drove farm equipment. You got to love the simple way of life there!

Check with your local police department. But a wise thought here...don't ride in the back of anything. If there were an accident. You'd be the first to die voluntarily.

Move to Florida, it's legal to ride in back.....Just don't do it to your dog.
Yep , you must have your dog secured in the back of a P/U, but NOT people.....go figure!!

I don't know if it is legal, but I know it is dangerous. I would NEVER do it or allow my children to do it.
