The next logical thing for the US to do is close all the schools they are obviously failing dramatically. Sorry about all the big words.

1. This is true - Saddam's possession of WMDs were based on world wide intelligence. You, obviously, in your ultimate wisdom, probably knew better at the time, though.

2. Please provide source of your intelligence that indicates Saddam was gassing his own people "with our support and nod of approval."

3. True - we will build a democracy in Iraq. And, we never did care to invade as long as they kept their demented ideology off our shores. However, that all changed after 9/11.

4. The contention that the Iraqis "don't understand us" doesn't support the pictures of proud Iraqis bravely and proudly displaying their inked thumbs following their first election to establish a government that answers to the people - instead of the other way around.

5. The CIA report you allude to is bogus - it's from an article written by an anti-war, French pacifist named Seymour Hersh for the AFP (Agence France-Presse) - the Iranians nuclear test was confirmed and Ahmadinejad has publicly announced his nuclear ambitions policy to the world. Numerous countries in both Europe and Asia have condemned this policy and the UN has set up conferences with these nations to try and negotiate a reasonable solution.

The question asks what is next in the logic. The next logical step is to continue to make Iraq the center of our fight against the Islamic terrorists that want to kill you and your loved ones - whether you can understand it or not.

They finally settled on "stay the course" for some time. When that seemed to make no sense, the new mantra is "finish the job". Unfortunately, that brings us back to your question and just what is the "job".

the next part in the logic is broken... because the U.S. people were tired of the foolishness and kicked them out of congress, for the most part...

so rummy is fired, Bush is in a tight spot and the mess falls to the dems... I hope they can do something with it...
