So what I have been hearing is that most companies have been reserving their Wiis for Black Friday...First off, what is the point of this? Do the companies expect to make more money on Black Friday when NO ONE wants to go shopping? And secondly is this rumor even true? And if not, when ARE more Wiis going to hit the shelves?

Dude. Black friday is huge. Its gotta be the biggest day in the world for all the stores. For some reason, everyone does their shopping then. And i doubt that anyone reserved wiis for friday. Considering that they sold out anyway, it wouldnt matter what day it was on.

Yes, I think companies do expect to make more money on Black Friday, since EVERYONE will be shopping, except maybe just you (read about Black Friday on Wikipedia, on the second link pasted below).

I thought Wii's already came out. Wikipedia states a release date of 19NOV06 for the US. I have been seeing a lot of advertisements about it in the ad circulars too. I don't buy games or play games, so I'm not exactly 100% sure.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving while there are a number of revenues and all of us is doing a brilliant sort of paying for for Christmas. on occasion shoppers get in fights with one yet another, and so on. I even have extraordinarily much laways controlled to stay away from Black Friday. that's a gaggle of hype to get you to spend a stressful day spending all your cash. Who desires that?

i garauntee that becuase it is black friday people will pay more for it than they will say the day after christmas or even the day after black friday. usually big ticket items like game consoles and other big christmas gifts arent released until the holiday season is offiaclly kicked off. which is generally black friday.

I thought they were already out, they are in the flyers. I'm kinda of upset cause now that the other consoles came out, there's probley not going to be that many games for gamecube. And it just figures, cause I just bought it too. I always do that, I buy something and they stop makeing games for it, Typical.
