I'm sorry about your miscarriage. How long have you and your partner been trying to conceive? Some sources say if it's over a year then there may be a fertility issue, however, this may only apply if you have had intercourse everyday or everytime you are ovulating. Some sources say it can take up to 2 years to conceive. The book that was referred to you "Taking charge of your fertility " is an excellent resource. It not only teaches you about maximizing your chances of becoming pregnant, it educates you on what's going on with your body. To be honest, I'm a nurse and I never knew half the stuff about my cycle until I read this book. I have had 2 miscarriages (back to back) and I have been having unprotected sex for about 1 year. Even though it was upsetting, it was somewhat comforting to know that I could get pregnant. My advice to you, try to get to know your cycle and try not to lose hope. Many women who miscarry, eventually go on to carry babies to full term. If all else fails, then I would go see a specialist. But give yourself a chance to do it yourself. You may be surprised what you learn. Good Luck and God Bless..

i am so so sorry for your loss. I had my 3rd miscarriage 2 n a half weeks ago. We have been trying for two years and each time it ends this way. It is heartbreaking and only us who desperartely want to become mums n dads feel the pain. I do have endometriosis and pcos as well though. I am under the gyny and had my endometriosis removed surgically last week. My consultant has advised me that i have more chance of conceiving now over the next twelve months then my sub fertility will begin to decline again because the endometriosis will begin to grow back. My consultant has advised me to start taking folic acid straight away - apparently this can help make you n baby strong once conceiving and make it less likely to have miscarriage. I am now taking sanatagen pro natal and omega 3 fish oils fingers crossed. I hope your appointment comes soon because gyny are the best medics to help you and they will be able to eliminate disorders and conditions that may be having a effect on your fertility and give you advise and maybe medication that may help you conceive and keep you and your baby safe. I wish you all the luck in the world hun. Lets us know how you get on x

Hi Emma,
I am so sorry for you. We had two miscarriages last year and it really is heartbreaking isn't it? I would recommend taking a Natural Family Planning course. It will not only help you identify your most fertile time, but it may also show up any problems you have.
We did the home study course offered by the Couple to Couple League and found it to be really excellent. If you are married a charity called LIFE UK has a fertility awareness course that you could also take.
Most of all try to relax. Pregnancy comes when you ae least expecting it!

I'm sorry about the miscarriage, but the good news is you can obviously get pregnant. There's a book called Taking charge of your fertility, by Toni Weschler. There's even a website you can go to www.tcoyf.com and download a free 15 day software. Good luck!!

Keep trying hun, relax, try & stop focusing on "getting pregnant" enjoy the practice in making a baby.
It will happen for you, it may take time, try charting your fertility using a BBT calendar or ovulation strips to pinpoint the days on which conception could occur!
Good Luck XxX

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

i really do sympathise, i had a hell of a job it took me two years to conceive but i suffer from pcos. i gave up on it and got on with my life, then 4 months later i found out i was pregnant. so it does happen you could be stressing yourself about not being pregnant just spend time with your partner and enjoy each others company. without the pressure there it may well happen. it did for me.
I wish you lots of baby dust honey.*************
