If you look at the polls, around 40% wouldn't vote for a Mormon candidate, so he has that going against him. It's unfortunate. Voters shouldn't automatically disqualify a candidate based on religion.

Hopefully not, but you know those mormon-haters...some would rather see a corrupt jerk as president as long as it isn't a mormon. That's silly.
People should base their votes and decisions on the leadership skills and abilities, not whether the person is jew, mormon, catholic, atheist, whatever.

I think it will hurt him, but at one time not so long ago a Catholic president was unthinkable. Somebody has to be the trailblazer, it might as well be him.
