Are you really good at math and science? Thats one thing that you would need to consider if you want to be a surgeon as well as the cost of med school and the years you have to commit to actually reach that goal.

For the college professor - my son is wanting to teach college level History. We've talked it over and he's giving serious consideration to getting his BS in History Education so he can teach on a high school level so he can pay for his own education on the Graduate level.
You can be working faster if you pursue that course, do you BA in English Ed and then be teaching at a high school level while you finish the requirements to teach at the college level.

Pursuing a medical degree, you won't be working in the field for several years, so you have to give that a consideration as well.

Hehe neither are really that realistic in my opinion. The amount of things that you would have to make happen to become either of those are just so great that it's not even somthing to think about until you are FINSHED with college.
But, good ways to keep your options open. keep your gpa as close to 4.0 as you possibly can in both high school and college.
Pick a major your are accually going to be good in.
Majoring in biology and only getting a 3.0 GPA vs Majoring in English and getting a 4.0 is a pretty big difference. Do somthing your GOOD at.
Also when picking a major make sure that you find somthing that your gonna be employed in. Be an Engineer make tons of money and your life will rule.
