Well I don't know that they were directly linked to the war but here are some inventions from around 1915 into the 1920's:

Band-Aid, hair dryer, Kool-Aid, Q-Tips, Bread slicer, Bull-Dozer, Traffic Light, Lie Detector, Microscope, the Camera, Grand Piano, Electric Light, Steam Engine, Lifeboat, Cash Register...
