Its south of Benidrom & Alicante (Costa Blanca) in an area known as Costa Calida on the Spanish Mainland.
Ryanair and Flyglobespan.com operate low cost flights to Murcia.

Murcia is its own region.... Region de Murcia
It is located in southeastern Spain, between Albacete to the north, Alicante to the east-northeast, Granada to the west and Almería to the south.
It has a small area on the coast called "La Manga del Mar Menor".
The main cities and towns are: Murcia, Cartagena, Totana, Lorca, Aguilas, Puerto Lumbreras, Mazarrón, Alcantrarillla, Torre Pacheco, Alhama de Murcia and Mula.
