I believe everybody does. But we cant; and that is why we do good of where we are now and try not to create troubles, for yesterday won't repeat itself anymore.

Yes, that would be wonderful. It would be ecstatic to have a time machine and that way if we went back and corrected something but it drastically changed the outcome of something good in the future we could go back and redirect, back and forth like a yo yo, and then we would all have paychecks and a job description of time travelers and we could be known as the Screw-ups.
However if we leave it alone and turn the page and stop dwelling on the past, we might learn and get it right in the future.

I wouldn't. The future today is as good as I think it can get, at least in the US, and if say if we stopped Hitler from rising to power, we may save millions of lives, but the US would not have built a militay powerhouse, and other countries could start wars and wipe out the nation. Plus, one of the guns the Axis used, the MP44, led to the modern assault rifle, which has helped the war in Iraq greatly

If you could, you would take the whole "live and learn" out of the equation, becaue if the problem was fixed, you would have never experienced it in the first place! I think that going back in time to fix problems would be the most detrimental thing to human intellectual growth.

No. It wouldn't work. Remember Star Trek? Everytime they went back in time or whatever, they f-ed up the future. Like in "City on the Edge of Forever" when McCoy went back in time and saved Edith Keeler's life (Joan Collins) and then she became this proto-hippie dippie peacenik who stopped World War II, and then because of that Hitler took over the world and then the futre of Star Trek was wiped out of existence. No thanks, I don't want something like THAT on my conscience.

oh yes, I wish I could go back to last Christmas when my son-in-law started an arguement, how I wish I'd kept my mouth shut as my daughter has not spoken since and being a mother I love and miss her and my grandson.
