1. They're over-confident or unfocused against poor teams.
2. The Giants were without some key players this past week.

Plain and simple, the Texans just have Jacksonvilles number. Check previous years to see that for some reason the Jags have real trouble beating the Texans. But know this, the Jags are for real and they will make a statement this year in the playoffs.

Im not sure how they managed that...they are a horrible road team but have the best home defense allowing 7 pts/per game at home. I can only think that they were not expecting the texans to play like they did and didnt try their hardest..they dont normally win on the road which would explain the first loss to them...then Garrard threw 4 ints at home so that could sum that game up too.

The Texans have always had Jacksonville's number, for whatever reason.
Of course, it doesn't matter because Jacksonville can't beat the one team they need to in order to go anywhere in the playoffs. Until they learn to beat Indy, you might as well get used to 12-4 and getting dumped in the Wildcard round.

Why do bad teams beat good teams in general? I think some of it has to do with injuries and some of it has to do with knowingness (people follow the good teams and players and coaches subconsciously treat the games as tapes to be reviewed.
For instance, I bet that the Cowboys watched more Colt games than the Colts watched Cowboy games. I think the same thing happened between the Jags and the Giants.

Sometimes it is hard to get motivated to play and beat a team that statistically should be beaten. I played on a championship baseball team in my teen years and we lost 2 games out of 12 to the worst team. We were their only wins. It didnt help that Eli has not been playing too well the past few games.

Good Question. That's been happening a lot this season. I think any team can beat any other team on any given Sunday. My Vikings almost beat the Bears and did beat the Seahawks (with Hasslebeck healthy) and then got beaten by San Francisco.
