She will NOT bring me down!?

Question

There is this girl that is my ''friend'' i have a clique with about 8 other girls and now she's trying to take over my place and they are all starting to follow her around and not noticing me as much i'm kinda popular but not like mean popular,i'm nice to everyone and very social.SO WHAT SCHOULD I DO TO NOT LET THIS GIRL BRING ME DOWN??

is one of your closest friends doing this?? If so, 1.) their either not your true friend if she is ignoring you or 2.) ask her if you are doing something wrong, or being too mean.

Just be nice, and nothing bad will happen. Yeah, so you'll loose friends, but 1.)I'm sure you can find more or 2.) that must mean that their not your true friends

I understand your dilemma. I've lost friends before because someone else wanted them really badly but then I've also figured out my true friends because they stayed with me. If your clique is about popularity and this is the most important thing right now (and this is very valid at some points in everyone's lives) then fight for it.

Divide and conquer. It's the oldest war strategy on the planet. Invite one or two of the girls to something fantastic that they absolutely can't say no to. Pick them wisely though, someone with some pull on the group and someone with a little less pull. Make it a fabulous time without seeming to make the effort but don't talk about it the next day at school, like it's the best secret on earth. Let them talk about it if they want. Do this a couple of times with different girls, not all at the same time and don't do with all of them. Leave 3 or 4 so they will think that they are getting left behind. The worst part is, be GRACIOUS about it, not vicious.

But you must realize that this stage in your life will & should end, some day you will find that you are tired of these games and really just want true friends that will stay with you through thick and thin. Until then, fire away.

Maybe you could evaluate the situation as if it weren't you in it because you know these people and see what it is that she is trying to accomplish (besides taking your place) and either help her or dimish the problem... or you can do what I did and start a competition in winning friends, but of course kill her with kindness. (that did not work best for me in the long run). Any friends that you have will remain your friends regardless. Good Luck!!

Everyone always thinks they are the "nice one". But you know I don't know you so that's not my place to judge. Of course you should stick up for yourself! Don't let that girl or any of the other girls walk all over you. And if they do then they are not your true friends anyway.

i dont think that this friend is doing this on purpose cause she doesnt like it. U may have to re-evaluate how u treat friends cause ur friend may have a quality that u dont that is drawing the rest of ur friends to her. overall dont worri as long as they are still ur friends and u still talk to them and trust who they follow around isnt that big a deal. plus u could always steal 1-2 of ur close friend from this click and just wander around alone and hang with them
